Although I do not fly for a career, I have an airline transport pilot certificate and a B737 type rating. Additionally, I have several friends who are airline pilots that fly the B737 for a living. They have flown in this simulator with me so that I could learn more about their airline operation, procedures, and techniques. Their input has also helped me refine the simulator so that it more closely emulates real aircraft behavior.
Procedures, Flows, and Checklists
I operate this flight simulator as close as possible to how a B737 aircraft would be operated in real-life airline operations. However, I usually do not have a second crewmember present. Consequently, I have had to modify the procedures, flows, and checklists to accommodate for this. When I do have a second pilot, I operate the simulator in the way consistent with my training in the B737 type rating course.
In the future, I will be adding posts and videos that demonstrate the procedures, flows, and checklists which are used by professional pilots in airline operations. Although they will be as realistic as possible, they are intended solely for the use of hobbyist flight simulator enthusiasts. They are not intended or approved for actual flight training purposes.
